Lisboa Card at a glance
The Lisboa Card is a tourist pass for 24, 48 or 72 hours. It includes public transport and free entry to more than 50 museums and sights. It also gives discounts of 10 to 50 percent on tours and services, and of 5 to 10 percent in taking part shops.
The prices below are valid until 31 March 2027. The card is sold through the official Lisboa tourism shop at visitlisboa.com. This page is independent and has no link with the issuer. Two catches decide whether the card is a good deal: the time slots for Belém and the fact that Sintra is only discounted.

Prices 2026/27
Valid from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.
| Duration | Adult | Child (4 to 15) |
|---|---|---|
| 24 hours | €31 | €21 |
| 48 hours | €51 | €28 |
| 72 hours | €62 | €35 |
The adult prices come from the official shop and several resellers, which agree. Child prices appear on reseller listings but not in the official shop, so confirm them when you buy. Children under 4 need no ticket. Older guides that list €27, €44 and €54 are out of date.

What the Lisboa Card includes
Transport and more than 50 sights.
Public transport
Free use of metro, tram, bus and trains for the duration of the card. The shop lists trains without details, so check the card guide for the exact lines before you plan a trip on the suburban railway. It does not cover the Sintra buses 434 and 435.
Free entry
Among others: the Jerónimos Monastery, the Belém Tower, the Castelo de São Jorge, the Padrão dos Descobrimentos and the Museu do Fado. The adult card is needed for the castle; 13 to 15-year-olds still need a ticket there.
Discounts
10 to 50 percent off tours and services, and 5 to 10 percent in taking part shops. The reductions are small next to the free entries.
Several museums are temporarily closed, and the card does not change that: the national museums of tiles, ancient art, costume, theatre and dance, and archaeology, plus the Santa Justa lift. Check the current list in the shop before you rely on a museum.
The catch: time slots for Belém
The Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower are free with the card, but only with a time slot. You book it with your card number. You get the number only after you have exchanged your voucher for the physical card at a tourist desk. Reserving in advance without the card is not possible.
Access for card holders also depends on a daily quota, so it is not guaranteed. Collect the card on your first day, book the slots at once and keep Belém for a day with open slots. Both monuments are closed on Mondays.
For hours and prices, see the pages on Belém Tower and the Jerónimos Monastery.

Sintra: discount only, no free entry
The palaces of Sintra are not free with the Lisboa Card. You get a discount, and you must show the card at the ticket desk on the spot and pay the difference. Booking online with the card is not possible. We could not confirm the size of the discount from an official source, so do not plan with a specific percentage.
For a Sintra day, the card helps mainly with the train, if your line is covered. The card does not include the Sintra buses 434 and 435, which cost €13.50 for 24 hours in 2026. A Pena Essential ticket costs €20 for an adult, with a fixed time slot for the palace.
The Sintra day trip guide explains the order of the visit.

Is it worth it? A worked example
Prices are 2026 adult tariffs; the day totals are our own calculation.
| Plan | Without card | Card |
|---|---|---|
| One day: Castelo €17, Jerónimos €18, Belém Tower €15, 24-hour ticket €7.25 | €57.25 | €31 |
| Belém only: Jerónimos €18, Tower €15, Padrão €10, two tram rides at €1.72 | €46.44 | €31 |
| Two days: Belém trio €43, Castelo €17, Museu do Fado €5, two 24-hour tickets €14.50 | €79.50 | €51 |
| One paid sight only: Castelo €17, 24-hour ticket €7.25 | €24.25 | €31 |
The card pays off when you visit several paid sights in a short time, and when the slots work. It does not pay off if you only see one paid sight, if you spend most of your time walking, or if you plan a Monday, when the large national monuments are closed.
If you travel mostly on transport, compare it with the 24-hour ticket at €7.25, or €11.40 with the suburban trains. The three-day itinerary shows how the sights can be grouped.
